This is a very unconventional role undertaken by a logistics service provider in regards that we own and completely operate warehousing services for all our clients. BSL Private Limited owns a 11,000sqft modern warehouse with all novel facilities at Thiruverkadu. To accommodate as per needs, we have 4 platforms for different kinds of vehicles used .i.e., LCV, MCV, FTL & Tarrus. This warehouse is very much state of the art and adorned with the most efficient equipments to further increase our productivity by means of racks, power stackers and other contemporary infrastructural facilities ensuring prompt loading and unloading. We ensure that the clients needs are customized for suitable storage facilities at our warehouse.
Commending our infrastructure is our software systems that are used for efficient and effective use of the warehouse. We make use of only system generated reports, MIS reports for ascertaining information on the usage and about the consignments at the warehouse. This is yet another aspect which we constantly look to improve ourselves and hence we would be upgrading this to barcodes and RFID codes. We even use and implement wave-picking concept for loading our trucks.
Akin to our usage of state of the art software operating systems, we ensure that each and every other aspect is also well looked into for smooth and competent functioning of the warehouse, to meet our and client’s demands. The staffs working at the facility are highly trained personals who understand the nuances of Warehouse workmanships. Our staffs are full time non contracted BSL employees who are available round the clock thereby managing this by means of 3 rotated shifts each day. We have dedicated staff areas, dedicated driver areas that separate the spaces from pure warehousing facilities. More than 60 trucks can be parked in our dedicated parking spaces. We also have a workshop area to undertake any kind of minor repairs and regular maintenance works for the vehicles during the process of loading and unloading of goods. Such concepts are fairly new in the industry where in a warehouse is usually barely just a closed enclosure for client’s goods and consignments. This only further enhances the authenticity that BSL Private Limited is not only an extremely professionally run company but also a professionally managed company.
For our esteemed clients who also transfer consignments of high value, we do have provisions for individual closed cabinets and rooms with additional security aspects in place. These cabinets are manned by an exclusive team of members with great precision and safety along with maintaining the confidentiality clause.
BSL Private Limited also addresses the needs and requirement for logistics in repacking services from our warehouse. Again as per clients requirement, they are packed in logistically well versed methods by use of custom made and patented designs of PVC carton boxes, tubs, trays, etc to transfer the goods to its next destination.
Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) is a very new concept for logistics service providers but not for BSL. Assisting us mange this role of VMI are our warehouses and capable transportation facilities. Our industrial clients go on about their duties of production of various components that need to be supplied to another vendor/factory for completion of finished goods. BSL ensures an uninterrupted supply to the party concerned by competent standards of inventory management. Through this feature an industrial outlet need not worry on storage facilities and management at its premises and can focus on the key job of production without any stoppages. The awaiting party can also be left at ease with the fact that there is always a regular supply of components from our warehouses and will never be short of it as they are also constantly under production. Hence, we play an important role in ensuring this cycle is adhered to by effectively catering to the requirements and making no compromises on the standards and procedures that need to be followed for a successful Vendor Management Inventory. |
